一件作品，一个模型One piece, one model

每个视角都画自同一个三维模型。Every view is drawn from the same 3D model.

正面、侧面、微距、佩戴和设计草图，都是这一个模型在不同的光和角度下画出来的：宝石有几颗、在哪里、怎么镶，每个视角都一样。The front, the side, the close-up, the piece worn and its design drawing are one model in different light from different angles, so how many stones, where they sit and how they are set agree in every view.

按物理画宝石Stones by their physics

折射、色散和火彩，按真实的宝石常数来算。Refraction, dispersion and fire, from each stone’s real constants.

钻石的折射率 2.417、色散 0.044，光在里面反射几次才出来，转动时才有火彩和闪烁。常数来自美国宝石学院（GIA）等公开资料；金属的颜色按实测的反射率来画。A diamond bends light with an index of 2.417 and spreads it with a dispersion of 0.044; light bounces inside it several times before it escapes, and that is where its fire and sparkle come from. The constants come from published references such as the Gemological Institute of America (GIA); the metals’ colours follow their measured reflectance.

On a piece’s page your browser draws it live from mathematical formulas; the pictures in the halls are the same models, drawn ahead of time.
